Patterns of Unity: An Interdisciplinary Dialogue on the Thought of Chiara Lubich

Abstract

The greatest gift that Chiara left the Church is the charism of unity. The Church itself has this essential note because it is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic. Such is the value of this unity. The present time is marked by the rejection of values which were once considered universal in many cultures. We all experience the difficulties and complexities, in building genuine relationships in our globalized world. This paper aims to explore a new insight derived from Chiara Lubich’s Charism of Unity which is treated as a new spirituality as an expression of the new evangelization.
